Offers protection against a spell used by Mursaats (Spectral Agony).
Play and you'll figure it out. Don't want to give away spoilers. |

It is very useful for every mission after Mines of Muldane (where the infusion takes place) as well as in FoW and UW. For some reason, I wasn't even aware of this until the 2nd to the last mission. Because I am was playing an Elem. I was usually in the back so I wasn't getting hit with Spectral Agony as much as the other ppl but I knew it was almost instant death whenever I got hit with it. Finally in this mission I was just getting pummeled by the mursaat and their Jade buddies and someone in the group asked if I was infused...I didn't even know what he was talking about. Did a search on the subject and found out why I was having so much trouble the last part of the game! Not really very funny come to think of it. -skull |

All I know is the Mission you get Infused in, and the fact that you die really easy if you are not. |

Infusion is required for Iron Mines, Thunderhead, Ring of Fire, and Abbadons Mouth, as well as for certain areas of the Southern Shiverpeaks, particularly around Grotto.
You wont need to fight Mursaat in Ice Caves or Hells, so not required. It serves no purpose anywhere else, including Fissure and UW. |

I have a couple of questions that deal with infusion, so I'll just ask it here.
I remember something about only being able to infuse your armor 5 times and each subsequent infusion is less powerful than the previous, but I cannot remember where I saw it. 1. Suppose you originally infused a full set of plate armor (head, hands, feet, body) and later decide you want to change your look by swapping the plate chest piece w/ a gladiator chest piece. What effect will the second infusion have on (a) the orginal infused plate armor and (b) the new gladiator chest piece? Will the gladiator armor piece be less protective as the plate? 2. Is there a limit, or penalty, for the number of infusion runs a person can make? In other words, if I keep switching out my armor (for different looks) can I keep getting everything infused w/o any penalites? Thanks for y'alls help, in advance. MP |

2. There is no limit to infusion runs. Everytime you change your armour, you can get it infused. I'll add my own little note. If you have 2 sets of armour on you, you can only infuse one set in one run. I tried to infuse my platemail + my gladiators on the same run and couldn't do it. The armour you are wearing at the moment you talk to the seer after giving her the spectral essence is the one that will be infused. In short, you can only infuse 1 piece of headgear, chest, gloves, leggings, and boots per run. |

Sorry for not being clear. I'll try to rephrase it. In one run, the following can/will be infused: 1 headgear 1 chest piece 1 pair of gloves 1 pair of pants 1 pair of boots So that means 5 pieces per run, but only one of each part. For example, you can't infuse a platemail chest piece, switch to gladiator's chest piece and infuse that too. You have to do the whole run again. |

I have two sets of infused armor. I just got a 15K Granite Citadel set, so last night went on an infusion run at the Iron Mines mission. Someone suggested to wear the infused armor until after we retrieve the item the Seer wants, and then switch to the non-infused armor before talking to the Seer (to accept the infusion). I did that, and so did another in the group, and neither of us got the new armor infused. The other non-infused members of the group did get infused however. So is that you need to switch to the non-infused armor before talking to the Seer in the first place? Or do you need to start the mission with the non-infused armor? |
